Winter Grips Telangana: Winter has officially set in across Telangana with a sharp drop in minimum temperatures observed over the past few days. Several districts are experiencing chilly mornings as cold winds intensify across the State.

Rudrangi Records 10.2°C — Coldest in Telangana
The lowest minimum temperature of 10.2°C was recorded at Rudrangi in Rajanna Sircilla district on Monday morning, according to data from the Telangana State Development Planning Society (TSDPS). Within the GHMC limits, the BHEL Factory in Sangareddy registered 13.4°C, marking one of the coldest mornings of the season.
The average minimum temperature across Telangana stood at 18.2°C, while the record lowest minimum in recent history was 7°C at Moinabad in Rangareddy district on November 20, 2016.
IMD Forecast: Temperatures to Stay Below Normal
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the minimum temperatures are likely to remain 3–4°C below normal in isolated areas of Telangana over the next two to three days. The IMD also warned that early morning fog and mist could affect visibility in some regions.
Weather Expert Predicts Strong November Chill
Weather analyst T. Balaji (Telangana Weatherman) predicted on X (formerly Twitter) that residents should gear up for a strong November winter lasting about 8–10 days, beginning November 11. He noted that northern Telangana districts may feel the coldest impact.

With the dip in temperatures, people across Telangana have started taking out their winter wear. Early morning commuters and schoolchildren in districts like Karimnagar, Nizamabad, and Medak reported biting cold conditions. Authorities have advised the elderly and children to take precautions against the sudden temperature drop.
