
SI Caught by ACB Taking ₹30,000 Bribe; Officers Chase and Arrest Him Near Fields
In a dramatic operation, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) conducted a surprise raid at Tekmal Police Station in Medak district and arrested Sub-Inspector Rajesh while he was allegedly accepting a bribe of ₹30,000 from a complainant.
ACB Raids Tekmal Police Station:
According to ACB officials, credible information was received that SI Rajesh had demanded money to perform an official favour. Acting on the complaint, a team of ACB officers reached Tekmal Police Station and conducted the operation on Monday.
During the inspection, Rajesh was reportedly caught red-handed with ₹30,000 in his possession, marked as the bribe amount.
SI Attempts to Escape, Officers Chase Him Through Farm Fields
Soon after realizing he had been trapped, the SI attempted to flee from the police station premises.
He ran towards the outskirts of the village, moving through agricultural fields in an attempt to evade arrest.
However, ACB officers immediately pursued him and managed to detain him after a brief chase near the fields.
Witnesses in the nearby village captured the unusual scene of officials chasing the SI across farmland.
Locals Celebrate the Arrest
News of the arrest spread quickly in the area, and several locals reportedly celebrated by bursting firecrackers, expressing relief and support for action against corruption.
Many residents stated that such steps restore faith in the system and create a sense of accountability among officials.
ACB Continues Investigation
The ACB confirmed that the bribe amount was seized and chemical tests were conducted as part of the procedure.
Officials also seized relevant documents and initiated a detailed inquiry into the SI’s activities.
Rajesh will be produced before the ACB court, and further investigations are underway to determine if additional complaints or irregularities are connected to him
