RTC Employees Chalo Secretariat Protest on February 24
Telangana RTC employees have announced a statewide protest programme named “Chalo Secretariat” scheduled for February 24. The call has been given by employees’ unions demanding immediate resolution of long-standing issues that have remained pending for years.
Workers state that assurances made regarding the merger of Telangana Road Transport Corporation with the state government have not been implemented so far. Along with job security, employees are also seeking clearance of pending dues, wage revisions, and restoration of trade union rights. RTC Employees Chalo Secretariat
Union leaders allege that repeated appeals to the government have not resulted in concrete action, forcing employees to take the protest route. Concerns have also been raised over outsourcing and private participation in transport services, which workers fear may weaken the public transport system.
