New Delhi, Nov 18:
A disturbing video of Dr. Umar Un Nabi, the main accused in the Delhi Red Fort car blast, has appeared online and sparked nationwide concern. In the recording, Umar calls suicide bombing a “misunderstood concept” and describes it as a “martyrdom operation.”
The video gives investigators a direct look into his radical beliefs. He calmly explains why he views suicide attacks as purposeful and justified. His statements mirror the tone and style of earlier extremist propaganda videos.
The clip emerged while agencies continue to widen their probe into the Red Fort blast. Earlier, intelligence sources said Umar may not have planned to die in the explosion and likely triggered the blast in panic.
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) and Delhi Police Special Cell are investigating his links to radical groups. They are checking possible connections to Jaish-e-Mohammad and have already conducted raids across several Delhi-NCR locations, including Al-Falah University.
Investigators believe the video may play a major role in the case. It could reveal Umar’s motives, his state of mind, and the influence of possible handlers. Agencies are also checking whether he recorded the clip as a martyrdom message, a tactic seen in many global terror plots.
The Red Fort blast earlier this month raised serious security concerns. This new video adds another troubling angle to the ongoing investigation
