Role Overview

As a 2026 Research Scientist / Engineer Intern, you will:

  • Tackle a meaningful research problem under the guidance of an Adobe Research mentor.
  • Design and develop new algorithms, run experiments, and create working prototypes.
  • Document your research and technical findings, and present both internally and (where applicable) in academic-style forums.
  • Explore the possibility of publishing your research or contributing to ongoing Adobe product work.

What You’ll Need (Qualifications)

  • Currently pursuing a Master’s or PhD in Computer Science or a related field. Exceptional undergraduates may also be considered.
  • Strong research foundation: good understanding of your domain (ML, computer graphics, vision, systems, NLP, etc.).
  • Experience in algorithm design, experimental evaluation, and prototyping.
  • Programming proficiency in Python, C++, or similar languages; GPU programming may be an advantage depending on the project.
  • Excellent communication skills to explain research ideas and collaborate with team members.
  • A genuine passion for academic-style research, but with a strong interest in building real-world software.
